Rose & Thistle Inn

On the eastern edge of the Northumberland National Park, the Rose & Thistle Inn is a traditional country pub on the Pennine Cycleway. It offers rooms with attached bathroom with free Wi-Fi and a full English breakfast. Each room has a flat-screen TV, wardrobe and tea and coffee facilities. All have an en suite shower room with hairdryer, and views of the gardens and countryside. Full English or continental breakfast is served in the dining room each morning. The Rose & Thistle Inn is located in the hamlet of Alwinton, around 10 miles from the pretty market town Rothbury on the River Coquet. Alnwick is around 20 miles away, and is home to the impressive Alnwick Gardens and Alnwick Castle, which featured in the Harry Potter series and many other films.
