Le Pigeonnier du Perron, The Originals Relais (Relais du Silence)

Renovated 15th century seigneury that belonged to the philosopher René Descartes, Le Pigeonnier du Perron Hôtel offers 16 rooms, a restaurant, a vegetable garden and an outdoor heated swimming pool from mid-May to the end of September. You can drive to Châtellerault in 12 minutes. A big flat-screen TV is provided in each of the individually decorated rooms. Most of the rooms and suites offer free WiFi access. Some rooms feature exposed beams and stone walls. A catering service is offered for residents from 6pm to 8.15 pm from Monday to Saturday, with boards to share local products, dishes at 16 € types salads, Fish and chips, beef tartare, pizza, minced poultry, etc. and homemade desserts at 7 € 50. Reservations before 1pm the same day, subject to availability. Closed on sunday and on friday and saturday on middle and low season. Animals are allowed in the hotel ( extra of 12€) but not in the restaurant rooms and swimming pool terrace. Futuroscope Theme Park is located just a 25-minute drive away. Free public parking is provided and you can rent a bicycle on site before exploring the local area.
